Agriculture Secretary Manny F. Piñol awards to the province of Isabela four million pesos as part of their prize for being one of the seven outstanding provinces recognized at the Rice Achievers Awards. On May 31, 2018, Piñol and the rest of the Department of Agriculture family bestowed honors to seven outstanding provinces, 15 cities/municipalities, three small water irrigation systems associations and eight irrigators’ association for their exemplary contribution in rice production. Special citations were also be given to other top performing government units and organized farmers’ groups.
