Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol and Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (KAMICO) Chairman Shin-gil Kim sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a collaboration on agricultural machinery between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea. The partnership, signed on November 20, 2018 at the DA-OSEC Conference Room, aims to develop the country’s agriculture sector through modern farm technologies and systems. Dubbed as the ‘Quantum Jump 2030 in Agricultural Machine Technology’, the project aims to: establish agricultural machinery manufacturing cluster, enhance research and development for agricultural machine technology, enhance workforce training for agricultural machine technology, and establish demonstration complex on agricultural mechanization.
