Jose Gabriel La Viña takes his oath of office as the new Undersecretary for Agribusiness and Marketing of the Department of Agriculture before Secretary Manny Piñol on June 13, 2018. With his new assignment in government, La VIña will focus on the TienDA para sa mga sundalo, a stronger marketing partnership with the Korean government, and an efficient mapping system that will identify sources agricultural produce and other raw materials for processing. La Viña first joined DA in July 2016 as part of the Transition Team before being assigned as a Commissioner to the Social Security System and an Undersecretary to the Department of Tourism. ###
