Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. engaged with farmers in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, during a visit on August 29, 2024, which coincided with the distribution of various interventions and assistance, as well as the inauguration of a rice processing system.

“Maraming salamat sa mga nakiisa sa ating maiksing talakayan, feeling ko napalapit na ako sa inyo, mas lalo dito sa mga taga-Guimba,” Sec. Tiu Laurel said.

During the forum, Sec. Tiu Laurel asked about the real conditions, daily challenges, and assistance needed by the farmers. He assured them that the Department is attentive to their concerns and will consider them in decision-making. ### (photos by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
