To assess the status of projects and activities of the Depa related to the mainstreaming of efforts on gender equality under the Gender and Development Program (GAD), Undersecretary for Finance and GAD Focal Point System Chair Agner Catherine T. Miranda led an assessment workshop on October 24-27, 2023.
The activity focused on discussions that will improve the implementation of GAD projects from the Central Office down to regional field units, as well as the bureaus and attached agencies of the Department.
According to Usec. Miranda, the Program must focus on providing equal opportunities to all genders that will ultimately lead to rural development.
The Undersecretary committed to look into all available resources to ensure that the initiatives undertaken through GAD will be attained towards the improvement of the lives of men and women in the agriculture sector. ### (photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
