The Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) signed on Friday a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the implementation of DA’s KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) program and DOLE’s Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. and Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma led the signing ceremony, joined by senior officials from both agencies.
The MOU highlights the shared commitment of both agencies to foster sustainable development and create economic opportunities for Filipinos. Key elements of the partnership include providing technical assistance and capacity-building support to beneficiaries, linking accredited suppliers and farmers’ cooperatives to KADIWA Stores to ensure equitable market access, and expanding the reach and impact of both the KNP and DILP programs nationwide. ### (Photos by Jay Morales, DA-OSEC)
