The Office of the Undersecretary for BARMM headed by Engr. Zamzamin L. Ampatuan supported by the Office of Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture (DA) spearheaded the Consultative Meeting on Agricultural Development in BARMM.
The consultative meeting served as a forum for provincial governors to delineate their respective large-scale agricultural initiatives and to solicit support from both DA and OPAPRU, particularly through OPAPRU’s PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn (PAMANA) program, which aligns with the objectives of the Localizing Normalization Implementation (LNI) and Transformation Program (TP).
Key attendees included DA Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., OPAPRU Secretary Carlito G. Galvez, Jr., and various provincial representatives. Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim and Minister of MAFAR Mohammad Yacob endorsed the initiatives, with Sec. Galvez, Jr. expressing gratitude for collaborative efforts.
During the proceedings, provincial participants articulated their concerns and aspirations, while DA officials proffered constructive suggestions aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of proposed projects
