Department of Agriculture Undersecretaries Mercedita Sombilla (Policy, Planning, and Regulations) and Leocadio Sebastian (Rice Industry Development), and Director Junibert de Sagun of the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service joined in the kick-off of the Cashless Expo 2023 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The event, organized by the GoDigitalPilipinas Movement (GDP) Inc. in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), and DA, promotes the use of digital or cashless transactions among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and consumers.
It also aims at showcasing the transformative potential of digital payment methods such as e-wallets, debit and credit cards, and online bank transfers using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. ### (photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
