The Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of  Trade and Industry (DTI), and the National Food Authority (NFA) will create a Technical Working Group (TWG) to improve the rice trading in the country, following the reinstatement of NFA under the wings of DA last April 17, 2018. This was according to Agriculture Secretary Manny Piñol who added that the group will initially look into the local rice distribution program, and consequently develop  a system that will provide a uniformity in prices. DA and DTI are studying the the possibility of imposing a suggested retail price for rice according to variety to serve as a guide to the consuming public. ### (Photo by Alarico Nuestro/DA-AFID)
