The Department of Agriculture (DA) will conduct its 2nd Youth in Agriculture Summit on April 21-22, 2022 at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Convention Hall, Visayas Avenue, Quezon City. This will be simultaneously livestreamed via the Official DA Facebook Page.
With the theme, “Spark, Encourage, Engage the youth to Develop (SEED) new leaders in Agriculture,” the summit aims to convene young farmers, innovators, educators, and leaders for knowledge sharing and learning activities. It also aims to inspire young farmers to become innovators and agripreneurs by accessing the programs and services of the Department.
As part of the summit, the DA will hold two major contests: Promotional Video Contest; and Three-minute Speech Contest. These activities aim to encourage the youth to come forward and actively partake in the developmental changes for key policies and strategies in the agri-fishery sector.
