Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. recognized media’s invaluable role in disseminating information on government programs, projects, and services, especially in boosting agri production and promoting food security.
“Media’s role in fostering transparency and accountability is instrumental in building trust and understanding to the public,” Sec. Tiu Laurel highlighted in his keynote message on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at the Food Security Cluster Communications Workshop, organized by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).
According to the agri chief, the DA stands united with PCO in its pledge to provide transparent, accurate, and reliable information to the public.
The DA, under the Bagong Pilipinas brand of governance carried out by the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., is set to undertake projects aimed at achieving food security for Filipinos and developing the agriculture and fisheries sector as a profitable industry for farmers, fisherfolk and all stakeholders involved in the value chain.
The secretary said the DA will double its efforts in serving the Filipino people with integrity and dedication as it heads into the second quarter of the year.
“We continue to strive for excellence in delivering accurate and reliable information, knowing that our collective work contributes to a brighter and more resilient future for all Filipinos,” Secretary Tiu Laurel said during the workshop held at PhilRice Complex in Munoz, Nueva Ecija. ### (Adora D.
