Pasay City, Philippines – The KADIWA ng Pangulo (KNP) Expo 2024, a flagship program of the Marcos administration, will be held on November 26-28, 2024, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). With the theme “Opening Market Opportunities for Farmers and Fisherfolk,” the expo highlights the program’s success in empowering Filipino farmers and fisherfolk, boosting their incomes, and ensuring affordable, high-quality food for consumers.
Led by the Department of Agriculture-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS) in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Presidential Communications Office (PCO), and Presidential Management Staff (PMS), the event will showcase over 100 farmer exhibitors, and will unveil innovative Bigger, Better, More KADIWA models, including KADIWA Food Hubs, Centers, Stores, Model Trucks, Carts, and the KADIWA Digital App—each designed to streamline the delivery of fresh produce from farm to market, live cooking demos through KUSINA ng KADIWA, and direct market linkages with institutional buyers, and agribusiness investment forums.
The KADIWA program is at the core of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s food security agenda, driving inclusive growth in the agriculture sector while strengthening the nation’s supply chains.
