In line with the whole-of-government approach of the current administration, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr., along with heads of other national government agencies visited San Jose, Occidental Mindoro to assess the damages caused by the ongoing El Niño.

During the visit, on April 23, Marcos and Tiu Laurel awarded various interventions and assistance including fuel subsidy,  rice financial assistance, indemnification, and survival/recovery loans to farmers distressed by the dry spell. ### (photos by Jay Morales, DA-OSEC)
