On the last Friday of December 2023, the Department of Agriculture (DA) assured that there is a sufficient supply and stabilized prices of basic necessities and prime agricultural goods in local markets following its conduct of a special visit at the Commonwealth Market.

Based on the price monitoring at the Commonwealth, retail prices of most agricultural commodities increased as compared to last month’s prices in the wake of the holiday festivities. However, today’s prevailing retail prices showed zero to minimal movement from that of the previous week, thus confirming sufficient supply.
