Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. visits the main offices of the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) and Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) at the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija on November 29, 2023.

During the visit, Sec. Laurel reiterated the President’s commitment towards increased crop production and called for support of both PhilRice and PCC in attaining this vision.

The agri chief was in Nueva Ecija for the 35th Ugnay Palay: 35th National Rice R4D Conference, where he delivered President Marcos’ message “to adopt a science-based approach to rice farming to increase yield and establish a sustainable rice value chain.”###
