Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr. joins the 3rd Talakayan event organized by the Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (SINAG) and the Coalition for Agriculture Modernization in the Philippines, Inc. (CAMP) on November 13, 2023.
The event, hosted by Senator Cynthia Villar, was also attended by Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado Estrella III, Congressman Wilfrido Mark Enverga, Congressman Mark Cojuangco, SINAG Chair Rosendo So, CAMP Board Chairman Emil Javier, and other industry stakeholders.
Among the concerns discussed were supply, demand, and prices of prime commodities like rice, corn, livestock, vegetables, and fish; controlling the spread of African swine fever (ASF); regulating vaccines on hogs, poultry, and other livestock; and addressing agricultural smuggling and hoarding, among others. ### (Photos by Gian Carlo Luague, DA-AFID)
