The Department of Agriculture (DA) led the culminating ceremony of the Filipino Food Month (FFM) 2023 celebration on April 29, 2023, at the SMX Convention Center, together with its partner agencies – National Center for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, and Department of Tourism.
The activity was highlighted by messages of support from the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines Louise Araneta-Marcos, Vice President and concurrent Department of Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte, and Sen. President Pro Tempore Lorna Regina “Loren” B. Legarda.
The new FFM Logo was also unveiled to signify that food is ever-changing and evolving. Moreover, the official FFM music titled “Kalutong Pilipino, sung by Bayang Barrios at Ang Naliyagan and produced by the NCCA, was also introduced.
DA Undersecretary Zamzamin L. Ampatuan turned-over the ceremonial FFM plate to NCCA Executive Director Oscar G. Casaysay marking the official transfer to Next Agency Host for FFM 2024.
With the theme “Pagkaing Sariling Atin, Mahalin at Pagyamanin”, FFM 2023 was packed with activities to promote and preserve Filipino Food all over the country.
