President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in Los Baños, Laguna on November 29, 2022.
The IRRI officials showed the President technologies in crop establishment, land preparation, seed drying, and seed storage such as direct seeded rice, laser land leveling, solar bubble dryer, hermetic storage system, and drones for agricultural use.
Before joining the IRRI Board of Trustees Meeting as ex-officio member, President Marcos also visited the IRRI International Genebank and recreated a 1966 photo of his father and former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. with IRRI officials. (photos by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
