The Municipal Agriculture Officers (MAOs) of different towns in Nueva Ecija paid a courtesy visit to the Department of Agriculture (DA) on November 7, 2022 and they were welcomed by Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban and Assistant Secretary for Operations Arnel De Mesa.
The DA officials and the group of MAOs discussed some concerns and recommendations to enhance the distribution of fertilizer vouchers to more farmer beneficiaries and improve program coordination from the national government to the local government units.
The MAOs also expressed their appreciation of the national government’s programs for the agriculture and fisheries sector and they cited the benefits of having a Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA). ### (photos by Alan Jay Jacalan, DA-AFID)
