Seven budding agri-enterprise were awarded as regional winners during the ceremony for the 2022 Young Farmers Challenge (YFC) – NCR level at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Convention Hall on November 4, 2022.
The Young Farmer Challenge, a program started by the DA’s Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (DA-AMAS) and Senator Imee Marcos in 2021, seeks to encourage the youth to engage in agri-fishery enterprises on a sustained basis to showcase its viability as a primary source of income comparable to employment in industry/service sectors.
Each NCR awardees received P150,000 financial grant, and will compete with other regional winners for a chance to bring home P300,000 additional grant.
