Officials of the Department of Agriculture (DA) convened to discuss the agency’s overall performance for the third quarter (Q3) of 2022 on October 7, 2022.
Highly praised during the Management Committee Meeting was the Caraga Region, which was recognized as the top region for the DA’s 2022 third quarter performance. Ranking ninth during the 2021 Q3, Caraga jumped to first place for the July to September 2022 assessment after garnering a 87.02% rating due to their outstanding performance in terms of financial accomplishment, physical accomplishment, and operations rating.
Other regions that performed outstandingly this quarter include the Bicol Region (85.61%), Cagayan Valley (84.46%), Davao Region (82.91%), Northern Mindanao (82.36%), MIMAROPA (82.18%), SOCCSKSARGEN (81.68%), Cordillera Administrative Region (81.50%), and CALABARZON (81.04%).
Meanwhile, Davao Region was acknowledged as the most improved region, noting a 53.42% increase in its overall accomplishments. Caraga came in second with 16.10% and Zamboanga with 14.39%. Also discussed during the said meeting were the performance of the DA’s various programs and initiatives, targets for the year 2023, as well as the impacts of Super Typhoon Karding to the country’s agriculture sector. ### (DA-AFID)
