Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel F. Piñol holds stalks of hybrid and inbred rice varieties to demonstrate which kind produces more. The agri chief joined the Farmers Field Tour in Bgy. Bauan, M’lang, North Cotabato on March 8, 2017, which is one of the highlights of the 4th National Rice Technology Forum (NFTS). A collaboration between the Department of Agriculture-Rice Program and Regional Office XII, Rice Board, and the municipal and provincial local government units of North Cotabato, the 4th NFTS aims to expose farmers to modern technologies that can improve farm income, reduce production cost, and enable them to attain higher yield.
